ahh, bananaducky my love, i thought i'd lost you foreverrrr

so this is how the edge of a cliff feels, when you don't know how monumental that split second is, that split second that bridges the event of barely hanging on, well, a cliff and the event of free falling towards the mad waves that'll soon claim your buoyant mass.

and now, onto usual business:

news from teny: h is divorced once again. now i'm really, really jaded.

my folks hit year 34. i must say that this year is extra special because i can truly say to myself they're not just my parents, they're people too and they're fascinating to watch and interact with. i still can't believe they're in their 70's.

back to school two weeks for now and this time, there will be no more room for inc's, hesitation, uncertainty. i'm excited about enrollment like i'm back in 1997 with my french 10-11 classes and introductory cl 100 and 122.

true, true. the year is proving to be good to me. i am doing my darndest best to live up to the expectation.

for those who faithfully check out the local music scene, do try to hear kate torralba. (yes, kate torralba, the designer.) while she does covers, the song choice and arrangement are, in themselves, a treat. in particular: her tori-fied version of soundgarden's black hole sun. another band i want to see and hear more is musical o. it's one of those unclassifiable bands, so just ditch the genres and hear the music. and yes, ang bandang shirley, the band of jing, one of my links below. (shameless plug, heehee.)
