the letter took on a formal tone. it had its punches of warmth, as if to indicate that hey, this is not a template letter we send to the other 'very intersting abstracts' we read but 'could not accommodate it adequately in the conference panels as they emerged.'
let me quote the best part of the letter: 'We do hope you will attend and participate in the conference and wish you the very best with future research. We would like to stress again that choosing papers has been a very tough process and you should not be disheartened by this final decision.'
dude, i'm not eight years old, okay?
b. updated me on what happened in class last saturday. i replied that it sounded like a bad short film. she replied that she thought she's in a surrealism class.
we'll get along just fine.
p.s. ingmar bergman is dead at 89 years old.
