a lot of good news all around

monday mid-morning, i got a text message from b. said she has good news and that we meet for coffee soon. me being the bad example at waiting out exciting news, i texted back that i'm still in lb and that we can meet later in the day.

just as i suspected - she got the sweet prize. she didn't want to tell too many people lest it be nixed at some some between now and the providential day.

so thrilled for her. she deserves it. what more, now we can work together at all the legwork (not to mention all the money we have to shell out to keep our brains nourished and our minds sane.)

yesterday, a. texted the news that kept her from her necessary nap. her quiet and beautiful words will see print in an important anthology. just like that. a similarly quiet and beautiful event. dang that woman.

as for me? v. asked me if i could talk about my vermont paper to their motley group. and i thought he merely wanted to ask my permission to reproduce portions of my thesis for his wife. he proudly declares he is his wife's research assistant.

anyways, i am as well curious about their wednesday group which has been in the running for four years. i asked him why i haven't heard of them before.
