1. an unexpected call from a friend that jolted my morning. am i getting calmer with news such as what landed on my ears? capped by a later call confirming the outcome of the unnerving news. i'll never be too blase or too jaded for these things. hurts are hurts.

2. second day of cable-less life. i told my folks i'll just imagine i'm back at the dorm with no control over the tv.

3. the count is down to two pups. i will miss them after all.

4. a discussion with nanay on writing the truth got me into thinking. she said, what if italo calvino didn't write if on a winter's night a traveler and didn't get it published? damn it, woman, the way you pose questions.
