i was waiting for the girl to give me the number of my new gsis cheque. in the thirty mintues i waited since office hours resumed at one pm, the girl was (if i got this correctly) either fitting clothes or having her measurements taken for clothes. when she finally arrived, there were suddenly a swarm of people asking for different kinds of things. all she could do was smile, tell us over and over to wait lang po and fiddle through papers and key in information to the computer in front of her.

and all i could think of was shampooing my grimy, flaky, jeepney-wind-whipped hair.

mga tao ng gobyerno nga naman. had to go through a similar ordeal when i applied for my e-card plus.

okay pa nga tong trip na ito e. the first time i had to apply for the cheque replacement, it took me the entire afternoon. a fat paperback novel - always the remedy :)
