Dear Vicky,

Thanks for lending me the book. Too bad I didn't get to see you and catukayo (or whatever name he goes by these days). Wasn't able to meet up with some former students for lunch. One did make it much later.

Phone got stolen at Philcoa while waiting for a bus. Realized later that it was an elaborate scheme. This guy got to the door of the bus first, stopped as if to check something inside then changed his mind. Of course that gave whoever-his-friend-is enough time to open my backpack. Note: phone was not in the pocket area.

Great timing, as I just came from class. Wasn't too happy about it, about myself. Am having second thoughts about all this that I'm doing. Maybe it's just the assigned reading, it was really a pain. Did not offer concrete options, too defensive and loopy in discussing the discipline.

And now, second phone gone this year. Am not feeling too bad about it, just tired, still have to attend a wedding tomorrow. Now this is one social obligation I don't need to extract myself from. Oh, about that? Did the usual solution (which is really not a solution, I know) of relegating it to the backburner.

Was also in the middle of messages. One told me of the class she signed up for. Another is experiencing the drag of being in a new campus.

And oh, did I tell you my classes are confined to MWF? Happiness.

At least they didn't get to my wallet. Relief.

Haven't heard that many theorists' names uttered in a single session in quite a while. (Don't worry, the people weren't being Davidian.) Reprieve.
