I realized there is no point in starting my posts with 'Dear U' since I e-mail him constantly anyway.

I seriously wish I were in NYC right now. The renovated Museum of Modern Art (MoMA for abbreviation-savvy people) is to reopen on November 20, with free admission. The flash display (is that what they're called?) shows parts of the exterior and some of the new display floors. From the looks of things, there are more open, not to mention wider spaces for bigger installations. Previously scattered panels could now be displayed in one horizontal fashion, exhibiting them as they should be.

I find the exterior rather boxy (like a Volvo?). No, they don't hark back to the dark (?!?) days of Bauhaus. It doesn't exude the functionalist spirit of the latter. It's just that, compared to the general tendency towards curves in architecture and the city's more famous buildings (Guggenheim, Chrysler), the renovated MoMA is quite a surprise.

Anyways, I really, really wish I were there.

I'd just have to content myself with the website for now.
