I drained myself too much the past few days. It is a very horrible feeling. Your brain is telling you to do this, do that, but the will is rebelling. (I am leaving the body out of this discussion for now.)
I am not sad, just bewildered, even aimless.
Time to close shop for the day and thank goodness there is the imperative to close shop to mark the end of the day, as if the day depended more on the simple acts of closing shop, erasing the blackboard to indicate the end of class and another lesson, putting away the tools of the trade back to their proper place, such acts of calling attention to the propriety of 'calling it a day.'
How empowering that even if there are words like Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday to mark our it is left to each person to call it a day according to how it should be conducted.
Be overwhelmed by the overwhelming task ahead but always remember that things have their proper places and proper times. Nature has her blunt way of reminding you this.
To think this is the first lesson of Genesis.
