I am looking forward to seeing Revolutionary Road, not just because of its 50s suburbian ennui that I am drawn too (see Far From Heaven) and not just because of Kate Winslet's predilection as a hubadera (no wait, that's The Reader).

It's because Nina Simone's Wild is the Wind is used heavily in the trailer (and I suppose in the movie as well, I hope). It's been a long time since I listened to any song of hers. Wild is the Wind is one of those that requires elastic lungs for you to hold your breath and sigh and be summarily breathless.

I remember doing all sorts of crazy things to the tune of Nina Simone songs. Well, there was that one time I unpacked all my votive candles, lined them along the narrow middle space of my dorm room separating mine and my roommate's beds, lit them, closed the lights and blasted my Best of... CD on my player.

Good times.

I'm actually excited about the film as well - mostly because I just love Leo. Both as an actor and as a hot guy. And because it also has Kate Winslet. Yebah.

Maligayang Pasko!

I think I started to adore Kate Winslet in Finding Neverland. Adored her even more in Little Children. And maybe a while back in Hideous Kinky. Curiously, not in Titanic and Sense and Sensibility. Marami-rami na rin palang pelikula niya ang gusto ko.

The photography in Revolutionary Road (at least based on the trailer) is scintillating. A good time for movies again (it helps that it's close to Oscars season.

Titanic kinda ruined Kate Winslet for me, ewan ko. I finally loved her because of Eternal Sunshine. Ever since, love ko na siya. Kaya palagi kong pinapanood ang "The Holiday" dahil sa kanya. Haha.
