The blog post where the phrase ...Ping Medina! is repeated eight times

Nagsimula ata ito nang napanood ko yung dude na nakatuwalya lang na kasama sa The Brockas (kailangan ba talaga yung 'The'?), ang pinakasira-ulong grupong napanood ko since Romeo Lee and the Brown Briefs sa una kong Elvis concert nung 1997. Once again, napatunayan ang minsan ko nang nabasa sa The Official Slackers Handbook tungkol sa paggawa ng tula: never underestimate the power of expletives (mantakin mong puro putang ina ang chorus - beri gud!).

Anyways, back to the half-naked dude. And why am I using 'dude' all of a sudden? Ah, remembered a story last week about a girlfriend who was confronted by a female ex-officemate who started off with 'Alam mo dude' while trying to mediate a long-standing cold-shoulder situation between my friend and a third person. Not the way to go, dearie.

Anyways, back to the half-naked dude (for the umpteenth time - lumalayo na kay....Ping Medina!). Was it the anti-gym torso? Was it the salt and pepper hair? Or was it the fact that he was holding a guitar?

Which brings me to...Ping Medina!

Until I saw an interview of the cast (minus Nathan Lopez) in Boy Abunda's show. As usual, there was the 'Have you ever been in love?' question. When it was...Ping Medina's! turn, he looked at Boy for a while and said something like Inaalam ko pa kung ano nga ba sa akin ang love. And I went, hmm, not bad for a cheesy question - an equally cheesy answer, delivered in a deadpan manner. I like this guy.

Visualize, picture. Ay, may kinabukasan.

And then the picture at Jessica Zafra's blog. I could only do my pathetic doggie pout and tip my head slightly to the left. Aww.

One more time: .....Ping Medina!
