It looks like tonight's episode of The O.C. on ETC (I did not make that rhyme) was the last for Season 2. Since Ryan and Marissa were rudely interrupted during the previous season ender (Ryan had to show some responsibility for what was thought to be his baby with Theresa, who lied to Ryan saying she had an abortion when in fact she didn't because as Marissa let Ryan go, Theresa is letting Ryan be with Marissa, aw suweet!), they were given their long-overdue happy ending. So did Seth and Summer (with Zach fulfilling his comic geek fantasy by meeting George Lucas). Not so with the parents: Caleb had a stroke, fell into the pool and actually died (after Julie chickened out of her eviiil plan to lace his drink with poison and really signed the divorce papers, also signing away 3 million dollars, no thanks to the prenup). To which his daughter Kirsten, the stable one in all this, officially launched a career out of being a drunk. Now what will Sandy the husband do?

Yes, I am a sucker for preppie clothing, nonchalant ironic dialogue and cool soundtracks.
